RANDOM WILLSON

"I'll tend the fire, please save that job for me." -Random Willson
Random Willson is an American-born poet, living in Berlin, Germany and New York City. His name represents his philosophy, Random Willson could be anyone. Random songs play over the courses of all our lives, random experiences happen to everyone. Open minds receive, open minds decipher and open minds return those thoughts in many flavors. Random Willson is a channel. Life is a song sung.

Born Gregory Northrop in Waterbury, Connecticut to mother, Alice, a registered nurse and father, Robert, a toolmaker, Greg is best known for his revolutionary New York City food trucks called the MUDTRUCKS, since 2000. Street vending was just another extension of Northrop’s early life. Community has always been at the core of Greg’s existence.
After graduation in Boston, Northrop moved to New York City and in the late 80s founded and fronted Hard Rock Soul/Funk band, BACK OF THE BUS. In 1994, Greg had his acting debut and was casted in the ROLLING STONES Voodoo Lounge tour video starring as the films "Roadie", a part written by Mick Jagger. In 1997, Northrop founded and fronted  Folk/Rock band, MOUTHFULL. In 2013, Greg met Fabian Brokof, from berlin based band BROKOF, at a Berlin bar and soon they started working on songs. Fabian got his band sidekicks, involved and soon they began working on a record. In 2014 they released the EP ELECTRIC CALM as Random Willson and The Belles. BROTHER EQUAL, the first full length studio album by Random Willson & Brokof, came out september 1, 2017.
Speaking directly into your person, Random Willson songs will connect like a letter or postcard from a close friend. There is nothing unnecessary about these songs, they are simple like breathing is simple, they are something naturally done because it needs to be done.
